My wife was in the garden, and rushed in telling me to quickly come outside.  She had noticed a snake crawling under some brush with a hummingbird in its mouth. I dashed outside and fossicked around in the shrubs (cutting myself profusely) and finally managed to spot this Californian Striped Racer with a female Anna’s Hummingbird in its mouth. I then had to return inside, grab my camera, change lenses and setup a macro flash unit.
