SPOT Flash

The Microflash has recently been superceded by Dr Robert Root of Prism Science Works. He produces a unit called a SPOT flash, which boasts pretty much the same specs as the Microflash, with a couple of very noteworthy improvements: First, it is an integral unit, with the power supply and flash being in the same enclosure, and second, has a lovely Fresnel lens on the front, which produces a very uniform spread of light, rather than the ‘hotspots’ of the Microflash. Coupled with a very aggressive price, these units look set to dominate the world of HSF for some time. Congratulations to Robert on what is an excellent product. Take a look at his website for more details.
